Default Is this the voltage reducer?

I have found something that maybe the voltage reducer but doesn't look like anything I've seen on the forum. All of the light wires come out of the unit which has 3 20amp fuses plugged into the top. There is a red wire that comes from the battery. I've attached a picture.

Has anybody seen this type of reducer? I want to add a 12V power supply to charge my iPhone and SkyCaddie so do I need to change the reducer to something more powerful?

Thanks

Gary

That is a fuse box. What batteries do you have? 4 12 volt or 6 8 volt?

That looks like a fuse block.

I have the same unit in a project cart I'm currently working on...it is a fuse block/box. Mine has a black drawn metal cover held on by 2 nylock nuts...also appears to be mounted in the same place, so maybe a factory add-on?
I traced the wires and they go to the lights.

I have 6 x 8 volt batteries....so I guess I need to keep looking for the voltage reducer because the lights are 12V.

Thanks

If the wires lead to the lights then you can trace power the wire(s) it will either lead to the voltage reducer / converter or to the batteries. 12V lights can work on eight volts.

Wonder if there may be no reducer at all and they are running the lights off of 16 volts?

Gm, CC ds correct? Look on the frame rail on the drivers side of the cart next to the battery box. About a foot long with a wire coming out of each end. One goes to the back battery that side and the other to a buss bar. If the red wire from the fuse block goes to the front battery on the drivers side then your 12 volts comes from + there and the - comes from the buss bar.

Maybe even 8v since the red wire is hooked to battery. IMHO no reducer. A photo of battery compartment would be most helpful.
