Default Best Batteries

I am new to the forum and was surprised when conducting a search there was little on the best batteries.

I need to replace 8 volt Trojans in a Club Cart and cannot afford there cost. What are some of the best alternatives? My dealer sells US Battery for $110 and there is a Diehard Dealer selling for $95. Diehard fellow comes to house while the dealer charges $60 install?

Any thoughts

How much more are the trojans? Around here they are in the ballpark of the prices you listed.

I like Trojan far better than anything else. Crown would be my second choice. I've had good luck with them. US batteries run for a long time but they tend to leak acid more often than not. I'm constantly rebuilding battery racks in cars that had US batteries in them. I don't know if it's a problem with the battery caps or exactly what the issue is, but there's definitely an issue. Interstate I believe is very similar to the US battery, honestly don't see much of them. Everything else is pretty much just a budget battery that will get you by for a couple of years (PowerTron, Duracell, Energizer, BatteriesPlus)

Hi All! I recently purchased US Batteries for my golf car 1979 CC Caroche. I did a lot of research on them and I bought them because they are made right here in the USA. I have Trojans in another cart and changed to the US Batteries and since then I purchased 12 more US Batteries. I believe them to be just as good as Trojans. I don't believe in paying for the name brands. Joe100

Time will tell. I have 8 year old Trojans in a 1990 EZGo that are still going strong. Batteries are an investment-you get what you pay for.
