Default Wiring question

Hello.

Have a 1986 DS Club Car.

Looking at the wiring on my cart, and at the schematics provided on this site, I see a difference.

My cart works fine, just want to make sure the configuration is correct.

According to the schematics, wire 8 should be connected to the negative lead of battery 4. However on my cart wire 8 is connected to the negative lead of battery 3.

Just wondering if I should just leave it alone, or what if anything is going to change or be damaged?

Default Re: Wiring question

Look closely to the wiring diagram again, wire 8 goes to the positive terminal on battery #4, which is electrically the same as the negative terminal of battery #3.

If you want more speed in reverse, you can connect that wire to the positive terminal on batteries #3, #2 or #1, with each move you will pick up a little more speed. Battery #1 (pack positive) will be the same speed as in forward.

Ahhh, you are so right.

Thanks for clearing that up.

No need to go faster in reverse. Stock is good.
