Cart clicks out and looses power.
2002 CC 48v GE. As im driving it at low speeds it sometimes looses power if I hold the peddle down it will reset and go but it does much faster if I let off peddle then push it again. Only time it seems to do it at full throttle is when im going up a big hill. At half throttle it will do it on flat ground sometimes multiple times with in a few yards. I really dont think its a short it seems more like a solenoid kicking out under load but dont understand why it does it more often with partial load.

Is this the wire diagram for your cart? 48v with a V-Glide?

Well I just looked up the mcor. I will have to do some more research on how to test it. I dont wanna buy that part on a gamble lol. Iv also been having issues that I thought were speed sensor issues but I think it could all be related to the mcor so maybe on to something.

Ok I have replaced my MCOR and have some new symptoms. The cart now goes faster so thats good. However, it will hold at the top end for a while and then looses power and coast for a bit until the power kicks back in and it takes off to top speed again. Sometimes when its coasting the power doesnt kick back in till its going pretty slow. Once I had to lift the peddle and push it again to get power back. I know it sounds very similar to the symptoms from before but difference is now it goes much faster and when it cuts out it recovers much faster for the most part. It also didnt seem to kick out at low speeds only on the top end. The MCOR is from Stearns the manual calls it an MCOR4 it is a different style then the factory one I removed but it came with the new shaft, a mounting bracket, and wiring pig tails to fit it to my cart.

Re: Cart clicks out and looses power.
Not my area of expertise so higher paid people can confirm, but I think 2002 is the year of the drop-out harness isn't it?

Thanks guys. I was suspecting a solenoid issue. After reading that thread I have some diagnostic work to do. His issues sound very similar to mine. Thanks again, I will keep you posted.
