ok here basically what has been done. we converted the car to 8V batts and installed lighting kit and this prob occured. Since we have changed EVERYTHING out and still same prob. OBC, multiple solenoids, controller, speed sensor and magnet and motor. Itw ill only set "Main Welded' if you depress pedal slowly or even at a normal rate, if you depress pedal rapidly it will not set code and runs fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance Joe

Have you tried swapping MCORs?

Did You check if the diode in line with the Tow/Run switch has failed in the closed position?

The "Main Welded" is the way the controller handles the scenario when it detects that it has dropped the solenoid coil voltage but there is still current flowing thru the power circuit. The program assumes this can only happen if the main contacts in the solenoid are "welded" together.

The problem is that it is a false condition usually triggered by the Regen feature raising the voltage on the motor side higher than the battery side of the controller.

So If you disconnect one of the big cables from solenoid, do you still get the same code? If so your saying the regen loop is messed up most likely. Being the controller, motor, solenoid was replaced that doesn't leave much to go wrong lol. I suspect lots of wholesale changes was made here, which makes web troubleshooting difficult when the tiniest detail is left off.

This is a good point, also that diode in the wiring. Revert that lighting kit, also if you installed a converter disconnect all of the stuff not factory, this will make troubleshooting much easier.
