If you look in the lower right corner, there is the sticker that says "Made in Mexico". That sticker means that the battery is made by Johnston Controls Inc. or JCI

Isn't Johnson Controls who makes the OEM batteries for CC? It sounds like a deal to me.

The PD batteries? I know they used to be made by Trojan, but the fill caps now look exactly the same as the ones in the picture

On your batteries, if you look at the gold Club Car sticker, it says something about Crown Batteries. My guess is that the blem battery has the auto-water fill caps on it

You know that when I was replacing the stock Power Drive batteries in my 2011 with Crown batteries I thought the the case design and patterns looked exactly alike.... The stickers were different in that where the above said Crown mine said dist by CC...

Yes it does have the auto fill cap style on it. So should I use these or spend the 1k for the Trojan 890s seems these are comparable to the 875s

By weight they are only 1 pound lighter than an 890

As far as the blemish on the battery if you look at the neg. terminal you will see where there was a burr that was sanded off
You can see where they marked around the neg terminal with a white grease pen and the obvious defect there. Wonder why the white grease pen mark around the 08/14 sticker? Is that a date code for 8th week of 2014 right?
