Default making a coil electric faster

I have a old coil cart.......I know that I am lossing alot of power and I wonder if I shorten the length of each coil ( speed ) will that help in increasing the speed and make it more efficiant......Ha aby one done this and what do you all think

Nope ...won`t help. The last solenoid (if you have them) or end of vglide is direct current to motor, no resistor hit at that point. If slowing down , you have either a battery problem or wires that are loose or frayed to the point of only a small portion stil attached.
