Pathway Value Question
Looking at an 03 Pathway near me. Owner says it doesn't run and needs batteries. He said he thinks it needs batteries because he really doesn't know what exactly it needs or what the problem is. There is rust just about everywhere. Brake pedal, front suspension, etc. Rear axle and motor were painted black, and that's rusting too. There are cut wires in multiple spots, random battery leads sitting near the batteries disconnected. There is no MCOR and just the wires sitting there unplugged. The circuit breaker on the PD2 charger is tripped and won't reset. The charger will not turn on. The inline fuse behind the charger receptacle is actually shattered. The entire wiring system has been butchered. There is no power to the cart at all. No lights, no reverse buzzer, etc. There are 5 Deka Promaster and 1 Interstate 8 volt batteries in the cart. They read 8 volts and load test at around 6 volts. The batteries are bulged on the sides, but there is water in them and the plates seem to be good. The cart is listed at $1000, he said he will not take $500, and will take $800.
Any opinions? |

Re: Pathway Value Question
. . . sounds like $800 worth of headaches . . . plus $$$ to get it functional . . . might be worth a couple hundred as a parts cart . . .

Re: Pathway Value Question
Not worth the $500 in my opinion.

Re: Pathway Value Question
I actually feel bad for the guy. He bought it from his company as a project and he said he is loosing money at $900. He definitely over paid for the cart

Re: Pathway Value Question
Pass on an 03 IQ for 800 bucks? I would buy it. Even if I put 1500 in it to get it going it would still sell for 3k+ around here, depending on all I do. Are you looking to flip it?

Re: Pathway Value Question
Since it's the Pathway, I was going to keep it. I would feel somewhat more confident working on the wiring and electrics if it was a regular DS, but I just have no idea about the Pathway wiring because Club Car put a lot of extra equipment on from the factory
And besides, the cart itself is just too rusted and corroded. I'd have to rip it all down to the frame and sandblast the entire frame and just about everything else aluminum or steel |
