Solenoid replacement...again
I have a 98 Club Car Regen with two solenoids. I just replaced the solenoid behind the driver's seat about 6-7 months ago. Now, I think I will have to replace it again. The cart has super slow acceleration and no click from the driver's side solenoid. Is it common for these things to fail this often or is something else causing this? Any help appreciated!

Connect the white wire on the solenoid that comes from the controller direct to the motor where the white wire from the solenoid is connected. Tape off the two small wires keep them separate.

Ok. What is the need for the solenoid if you can do this? Does bypassing the solenoid offer more performance or anything like that? Just curious if bypassing is a common thing...

Bypassing it is common. It's the dynamic braking solenoid and seems to always crap out. Bypass it and never look back!

I agree with these guys. Note that when you bypass it your motor braking will become much more firm and lots of people don't like it. In this situation you may un-plug the speed sensor to totally eliminate the motor braking. It's fine to run it this way.

Oh there is one more thing. When you do this you need to dis-connect the speed sensor. You will not have regen braking nor will you have roll away braking. If you leave the speed sensor hooked up the regen braking is way to strong.

Coming out of the end of motor. A few inches up there is a connector. Just Unplug it
