Default 6 volt battery replacement

What is a fair price to pay and what are the recommended batteries to buy?
Thanks,
Wully

Welcome to the forum Wully...................

Trojan batteries are the most preferred because they have a record of outstanding service. They cost a little more. A set of 6volt batteries will usually be around $600.00 and all batteries vary widely in price due to location and vendors.

Can't find any Trojans in my area. Do you see an issue mixing a Sam's Golf cart Energizer battery with my Trojan T-105's? Please be straight forward. I can wait if it's going to screw things up.
I already have one of the Sam's batteries as one of my used Trojan's T-105's went out on me 2 weeks ago and like I said, I have no where close by to buy a Trojan. Where are Trojans's sold anyway?

When mixing batteries:
It is not good to mix new batteries whth old batteries. The old batteries will bring the new batteries down to as bad of shape as the old ones. If you are going to mix batteries, try to locate used batteries to put in with the old. Preferrably, a battery of the same vintage.

Where to get batteries:
Usually any battery shop will have trojans. Some Generator & Alternator shops carry them too. Even some tire shops carry them too.

Generally speaking:
When the batteries are nearing 5 years old, and when one goes bad, it's just a matterof time before the rest to go bad. They drop off one at a time.

Hope this helps........

Ok, Looks like I need to just bite the bullet.
I just called a golf cart place and the guy said he had some Trojan T-605's for $87 or $500/set(6).
How's that sound?

Sounds like a good buy.

I would make sure they install them too.
