Scott

Yes it was working just fine and one day when the wife came back from the pool she plugged it into the charger. I went out about 2hrs later to move it out to work on my truck and it wouldn't move. After reading on here I tried to reset the controller that didn't work. Someone suggested that I change the forward reverse switch I did that and no change. So then it was suggested that it was the controller. I order a controller and that brings up to where we are now. The only mods done lift wheels tires and put a 4 - 12volt batteries to 6 - 8 volt battery conversion. And I added a 48 to 12 volt converter for accessories.

Crazy question, how long have you have that converter? Can you disconnect it from power and see what happens? As Sergio mentioned that diode from the tow/run was something I was thinking, should be two easy test. Also take a look at the wiring to the charger outlet.

I removed the converter already. To try that. I also removed the wire that runs from the charging socket. I tried to remove that I could to see if it made a difference. How should I check the diode?

Use your meter to test it, you should have a semiconductor check? It should conduct one way and not the other like a check valve.

Scott,

I can't thank you enough for your help with this. I am out of town and will test when I get home. Do you know how to test the Mcor?

Inside An MCOR 01-04 DS

Read through this thread in there I think is information on testing. Don't thank me I didn't do anything LOL, I'm not a cart expert, I'm an industrial electrical designer. I just know the frustration of having to deal with troubleshooting them.

I think you car if like most is either 0 to 5k ohms. Or visa versa. Basically the mcor you press the pedal the resistance changes thus increasing the speed. I really haven't studied the schematic long enough yet. Been very busy at work and pooped when I get home.

Scott,

I got home tonight. First I checked the wiring to test the diode. There is no diode in the harness that is on my cart.

I pulled the pedal assembly and pulled the mcor off the bracket. When I measured the resistance it was 8.8K when I put everything back together it works??? I don't know if it was a bad connection or what... Now to hook everything back up and charge it and see if it still works. I will keep you informed.

Thanks,

8.8k sounds like to high, if you continue to have issues, upgrade it to the MCOR4, heck rco had it on that LOL. Good news!
