08 DS IQ Question
I've been noticing something with my 08 DS IQ and was wondering if anyone can point me in the correct direction. I've noticed that when I go to drive the cart, I will press the pedal, the solenoid will click, and the cart will jump a few inches, and then the solenoid will click off once the cart rolls to a stop, even with the pedal held down. The cart will do this a few times (I would have to release and press the pedal down again each time) but then it will function normally. This usually happens when the cart is unused for more than a day or so. It's not really an issue for me, just would like to figure out what it is

Re: 08 DS IQ Question
It is more than likely the controller going into a sleep mode and needs to woke up by pressing the pedal a few times(3).After that it will work fine until it is left for a day or more than you have to repeat this again to get it to go.

Re: 08 DS IQ Question
Try checking the plug connections at the mcor. Unplug them, inspect, clean if nessesary and plug back in then give it a go. Otherwise sounds like faulty mcor.

Re: 08 DS IQ Question
If the problem happens often, another way to help isolate it would be to press the gas pedal a few times before turning the key switch on.
If that makes it work every time, the problem is likely the microswitch going bad inside the MCOR. If it does not make any difference, then it must be something that needs to be awaken to work. |

Re: 08 DS IQ Question
Decided to take the cart for a spin today. Before I turned the key switch on, I cycled the pedal a few times. Turned the key on, woke up the OBC and controller, and pressed the pedal. It jumped again, so I turned the key off and cycled the pedal some more. Turned the key on again, and had no issues

Re: 08 DS IQ Question
Update: Have not driven the cart very often lately. Turned the key on, pressed the pedal, Battery light came on, OBC and Controller awake. Cart did the "jump" again. Turned cart off, and cycled the pedal 50 times. Turned it on, and it still did it. After a few "jumps', it returned to normal
