Jakes brush guard precedent
Anyone have that brush guard for the precedent? Was wondering if it had light tabs on it.
I'm not sure of that's what it's trying to show me in the top pic. |

Re: Jakes brush guard precedent
The top piece probably mounts onto the cart frame and then the brush guard slides onto it. My guess. My outlaw bar from Jake's mounts similar.

Re: Jakes brush guard precedent
I bought a 12" light bar for mine. Double row...6 flood leds on each side and 12 spot leds on the inside. STOOOPID bright. It'll light up the house across the field from me and its 1/4 mile away. $75 off eBay.

Re: Jakes brush guard precedent
Speaking of those led light bars did you wire yours for 12v? I do know they can sometimes go up to at least 36v. How would you wire it for 36v with 6-8v batteries? I was also just thinking about doing a 48v light bar but they are pricey compared to the 75.00 ones

Re: Jakes brush guard precedent
Mines on a gas cart DD. But for electric, I'd get a voltage reducer that converts 36 or 48v to 12v. That way you're not just pulling off 2 batteries.

Re: Jakes brush guard precedent
Yeah I have installed a reducer this past weekend since I just did the 6-8v conversion. I was just saying if I could put 48v to let's say rigid LEDs they get super bright. Can you link the led bar you bought?

Re: Jakes brush guard precedent
I'd be afraid they'd blow on 48v. I can't link, not that computer savvy. I just post and get on the web via my phone anyway. I'll find what I have and I'll pm you with an eBay item number tomorrow.

Yeah I do like those light bars. I'll get the brush guard and see what I can make work the best.
Will post pics of it for sure tomorrow |
