What year and serial number? Excel carts don't respond to speed magnets, speedy link or speed code 5 programmer.

Install a bandit upgrade from Plum Quick or EMP

That will almost double your speed instantly without the need to go beg the dealer to give you 4 mph increase for $150
TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY to reprogram the controller to speed code 4 and that speed code 5 box, just tries to reduce the pulses from the magnet just like the Hi Speed magnet does, but, it does it electronically, another waste of money.IMO

A bandit upgrade achieves its results by reducing the number of pulses from the magnet. Among other things.

Do not know the answer to that yet. Looking at buying a used model. I know it is a 2010 Precedent IQ. Never thought of looking at the serial number.

However also looking at just buying a new Villager 2 LSV and just be done with it.

If you are wanting a LSV I'd go ahead and buy the Villager. In order to bring the Precedent up to street legal standards it's going to cost another $1000 at least. Maybe more depending on which state you live in, and it still won't be as good as the Villager.

THX not really needing or wanting Street Legal, but if it comes with it, fine. Just considering a cart ready to go that meets my speed requirements. I live in a gated community and can drive anywhere in the community without license plate. All in all over 300 carts and one one or two are Street Legal and they got them for the same reason, speed!

Already built an E-Z-Go a few years ago and now time for new batteries. It was a fun project but once was enough. Well maybe if I could find a heck of a deal on a donor that I could replace the drive and power train..

This trip looking for Club Car as it appears they have slightly better quality than the others.

I recently had plumquick build me a bandit motor for a 2007 precedent, and also for a 2011 excel.

I have done nothing else to these stock carts, simply install the bandit, and the 07 gets up to 26 mph, the 2011 24mph.

I use to mess with the magnets, but not anymore. You can't beat their price and product!
