Turf 1 48V not charging
2004 Turf 1 48V. 2012 Batteries. Batteries load test fine and voltage shows at 48 volts roughly.
My issue is the charger will not turn on. The charger bench tests fine, OBC was bypassed and the relay will click, but voltage will not enter into the vehicle. Fuse on the grey wire is fine. I tried a new charger only to have the same issue. What am I missing? Thank you for your help |

Re: Turf 1 48V not charging
That should be enough voltage to get the charger to turn on. Have you reset the obc? You May need to bypass the obc to get the cart charged.

Re: Turf 1 48V not charging
This machine does not have a run/tow, but I did try it. I followed the instructions, with 0 success.
I jumped the grey wire to the main negative with the charger plugged in and had no luck as well. |

Re: Turf 1 48V not charging
The only thing you by-passed was the OBC charger activation circuit.
The OBC also controls the current that flows thru the negative wire to the battery. If your model cart has a fuse on the negative pin of the charger receptacle, test it. Otherwise you will need to run a 10ga wire directly from the charger receptacle negative wire to the pack negative (by-passing the OBC current control circuit). |

Re: Turf 1 48V not charging
I checked the fuse and it tested fine.
So I am understanding this correctly, I will leave the grey wire plugged in, and unscrew one of the nuts off the back fuse and run that directly to the main negative? |

Re: Turf 1 48V not charging
Yes, that is correct.
You did not go into details about how you "bench tested" the charger, so if the charger is working, the only other possibility is the OBC negative wire. Edit: If that does not work, check that the negative pin on the receptacle itself is not corroded off. |

Re: Turf 1 48V not charging
I have a bench both 36 & 48 volt for testing. On the bench I hooked the grey wire to the negative main and the charger turned right on.
