You going to do 48 volts with that upgrade? You'll get a nice improvement over stock (in torque, speed will only pick up one maybe two MPH unless you go with taller tires) with the package from Scotty, but 48 volts would REALLY wake that thing up, I have a 500 amp controller, the heavy solenoid, cables, and FNR, and a rewound motor, but the performance is lacking IMO, I wish I had done it right the first time and went 48 volt. I also have a 48 volt cart that is bone stock, just running on an old 36 volt motor I put in, and I LOVE it!! It is my favorite cart to drive and has fun torque. It'll blow my built 36 volt cart away off the line, and almost hang with it on top end, though the built cart passes it evenreally due to the tire height being taller and the rewound motor. Bottom line, you won't be sorry if you feed 48 volts to that stock motor, I can guarantee from experience that it is better than staying on 36 volts.

I will eventually move up money permitting. Staying at 36 for now. Guess when I save and get new batteries will be the time I switch. Trying to figure it out as I go! Lol. I think I've found the spot to do that. Thanks for all the info so far.

I know that's right! one more quick question. While I have this baby apart is there anything I should keep an eye out for? I figure while I have it apart I might as well do what ever needs done. Thanks again to all for the help given so far.

Plus, if you want to paint the body, the time to do that is while it is off the cart.

Parts should be here today!!! Can't wait. I've thought about building my own dash for a radio but do like some of the ones I've seen for sale. Guess I need to get a power reducer first.
