Default CC 2001 DS Motor Rattle and Wide open pedal

Hey guys. I got my hands on a 2001 club car DS electric. I have two problems that i would to fix with ya'lls help.
1. There is a rattle in the motor/rear end when their is a partial load. Does not happen when the pedal is not pushed or when the motor is in full load. Only occurs when its coasting or when motor is not under full load. I have researched it on this forum and it seems i may need a Ring Centring kit...but i still have not found one on line...? Where can i buy one and how hard is it to install?

2. The cart seems to be full speed right off the get go. You really have to push the pedal slow to get a slow speed...and i mean slow. It constantly spins the tires. I've seen something about a vglide but i have a 2001 model so its not the vglide? Diagnosis?

any help would be appreciated! thanks.

Looks like someone already upgraded motor and controller. How about the F/R switch, cables and solenoid?
Hopefully one of the techs will chime in.
I'm new to all this, but any info in detail about the cart is very useful. I have a SEPEX motor, not Series like you got.
There's a ton of knowledgeable people here.
And by the way......welcome to BGW

Can you post a pic of the back of it?

Also, I believe 01 would have the MCOR 1 throttle, not a V-glide. The V-glide is a pie shaped box on the drivers side frame rail between the batteries, easy to check if you have it, post a pic of the area if youre not sure. If the MCOR indeed is your jerky throttle culprit, you'll have to convert to MCOR 4, CC sells the kit and it is part # AM293101.

I'm pretty sure I don't have the vglide. I know there is a small black box on the frame under the passenger side. How can i tell if i have the MCOR 1 or if its been updated?

Also, anyone know about the centering ring kit for this motor?

I'll post some pics here in about an hour.

The Mcor 4 is smaller and has a yellow sticker that says mcor4 on it. If you look from the passenger side, you can see it pretty easily from under the cart. Also comes with wire plug adapters.

I'd need to see the end of the motor shaft to tell you if the centering kit will fit. That's not a factory motor so it's hard to say. As for the MCOR..... If it's jerky replace it with the MCOR4 conversion kit. 2001 was a transition year from V-Glides to MCOR1 so it's very possible you may already have an MCOR on the car.
