positive leads go to a Fuse Block
negative leads go to a Negative Bus / BusBar

That is something I had never thought of. I guess ships don't ground to frame either.

when we weld on ships we use a ground from welder to the deck then run our welding lead to the spot we are welding ...some ships have an on board welder and it is grounded to the deck
with that said
the electrical system is not grounded to the ship as it is run from a generator and use an "insulated neutral" system
