Default Is there a reason why I should not bypass the reverse buzzer ?

I just removed it but cart is not operational yet and was wondering if by doing this could it create any issues ?

Not sure of operation but there was a lady that backed her golf cart into Lake Eriebecause the back-up buzzer had been disconected, and she thought she was in forward. For safty alone is a good reason not to disconect, what if her child or grandchild was behind the cart.

Thanks....I did consider the safety issue as well.
I guess now I am curious if I bypass will I run into any operating issues (ie reverse will not engage, cart will not power on etc.)

Hook it back up! Try some tape over the outlet to muffle the sound. The first time you back into (or over) something / someone, you'll be sorry. Remember - YOU may be careful, but what about EVERYONE ELSE that drives your cart?

on a 48v electric cart...isn't this buzzer 48-volts???..
I'd like to replace mine with something else. I'm probably going to put a 48-volt relay to control a different type/sound and maybe some white led back up lights.

I don't like the buzzer either but you need the safety feature, wonder if the buzzer can be changed to a nicer sounding beep or custom tone with the help of Radio Hack.

I've heard some that sound like birds whistling. But they're 12- volts

That can be done with a voltage reducer, and a relay, simple circuit.
