What if you were to connect the two wires together?

We need to do two series of tests, one for the controller to MCOR voltage and the other for the MCOR resistance.

Test Controller to MCOR signals:
  • Disconnect the 3 pin connecor from MCOR (tests to be performed on harness connector)
  • Leave 2 pin connector plugged to MCOR
  • Set meter to 20vDC
  • positive probe on MCOR White wire
  • negative probe on MCOR Purple wire
  • turn switch ON
  • press pedal
  • should get around 5v.

If You don't get 5v, we need to find out which side of MCOR is missing.

Controller Negative to MCOR test:
  • set meter to 200vDC
  • positive probe on pack positive
  • negative probe on MCOR Purple wire.
  • turn switch ON
  • press pedal
  • should get 48v

Controller 5v to MCOR test:
  • set meter to 20vDC
  • positive probe on MCOR White wire
  • negative probe on pack negative
  • turn switch ON
  • press pedal
  • should get 5v

Test MCOR resistance:
turn switch OFF
disconnect 2 pin connector (just to get it out of the way)
Notice which pins on the MCOR correspond to each color on the 3 pin connector
tests will be performed on the MCOR pins (not the harness connector)

resistance does not have polarity, so it does not matter which probe goes on what pin.
MCOR Resistance tests:
  • set meter to 20k ohms
  • measure between White and Purple wires
  • should get around 6k ohms
  • Pedal Up and Down should have no effect on resistance
  • measure between Yellow and Purple
  • Pedal Up to Pedal Down should vary from 1k ohms to 7k ohms (approximately)
  • measure between Yellow and White wires
  • Pedal up to Pedal down should vary from 7k ohms to 1k ohms (approximately)

I think I got them all.... Good luck.
