Default rear end

1997 club car 48v.DS. when i put in gear and press pedal cart is not moving.The electric motor is running and the cart is trying to move but acts like something id slipping.Trying to move but want.Thanks GSWILLIS

I would check the brakes, and if that's not it then unfortunately it's probably the rear end

Are you absolutely certain the motor is running? I've never seen a broken gear in a rear end. I'm having a hard time believing that is the issue.

Club Car hubs don't strip out. They're not spline-driven like EZGO hubs. It's more of an automotive style where the drum fits over the studs on the axle.

I would have to agree with David on this one. If your motor is truly running, it may be that the batteries are so discharged that it won't move the cart at all

Sounds like a low voltage motor hum or chatter.. It could easily be mistaken by the sound of a running motor.
