Question 2002 DS/the battery runs down quickly/ after Full charge

This cart cliks a lot when you go from reverse, but it always, takes off and goes. Now goes dead overnight after full charge. It has 4 12 volt batteries which are working good for me as compared to 6 -8 volt batts. This has me stumped , Could i have a bad battery? or is one of the electric components bad? Iused it yesterday to go to the mail box. now its dead and under a new charge. Whats your take on this,

Like i say this has just started . the cart was setting in a barn for a number of years but has been absolutely perfect since last november. it doesn't get used during these michigan winters.please let me know what you think. this cart is used alot by me because of age and many operations, so i need it bout every day, any more. And thank you ahead of time . also this cart has not had the wiring tampered with at all! over the years. There i think thats my last word

What do you mean it clicks a lot when in reverse? It is a 48v cart right?

Yes!It is 48 volt, when you put it in reverse or forward, .either one, occasionally it would need the acc pedal..pushed down and up-- few times, before it would take off..thought this clicking, might be the nature of the beast, Then sometimes it would not do a thing!! move or clik in either direction.[forwards or reverse]No noise from the battery area at all, when pressing the pedal down to the floor . thanks jake anything else you need to know please let me know bob s

it acts like theres a switch or something that is not functioning properly ?/

Is this a series or IQ cart? The serial number will tell. If it starts with AQ its an IQ, if A, series.

Connect a meter between the Positive connection on the first battery and the negative connection on the last battery.

Are you sure these are golf cart batteries and not car batteries? What does it say on the batteries?

Those are gel batteries. Are you using a CC charger? If so, it is not made to charge that type of battery.
