Aux. Battery

My '07 CC ds has a 4-12 battery setup... I know I know I plan on changing it to 6-8's. (Batteries are just now two years old). I don't get alot of run time out of them so I figured I would add an extra battery to the bagwell to run all my electrical stuff... Head lights, Aux. lights and Winch. I hope doing this will gain me a little extra run time. I'm in the middle of building a snow plow for my cart. I will buying a trojan 12v battery for the bagwell. Does anyone know if the Aux. setup will handle the lights and plow or if this the right way to go?

I use a 12 volt rv/marine sealed battery as my aux and keep it charged with a battery tender. works fine for lights /radio and the battery fits under the seat .

Why a Trojan battery for aux? I'm running my lights, stereo, and powered sub off of a 12v marine battery I keep in the bagwell (see pic). I bought the battery and the box from Walmart and it has worked great for a couple of years now. I took one of the quick disconnects from my battery tender and keep it on the battery at all times so I can quickly plug it in every time I plug the cart in.

My voltage reducer can be used to charge a battery when set to 13.8 volts output. I have never tried it but the papers said it would work. If so that would allow for surge high amp draw off the battery with a slow recharge rate. Never tried who knows.

Mr. Golf, this sounds like something I tried to find info on about 6 months ago. My plan was to mount a winch on the front, and aux batt in bag well and somehow have the aux batt charged by my voltage reducer. Since a winch could potentially draw more than 30 amps, could not run it straight off the voltage reducer. Asked here and at the VR manufacturer (Nivell) about this and came up with nothing. If you can advise I'd appreciate it.
