speed switch on 1994 Club Car
I have a 1994 Electric Club Car 36v, Batteries are fully charged but the cart will only drive at one speed SLOW! would this be a bad speed switch?

You should have a v-glide, which is a pie shaped black box between the batteries. Take the cover off and make sure the wiper arm is cleanly contacting all the copper contacts when you push the pedal. It could also be a solenoid or two that have gone bad... They can click and still not work.

Thanks, it dose have a v guide however it only has one solenoid (Power) and the v guide has Black and white wire going to the controller, can I measure the v guide off those wires?

Ok so you have a controller cart. Since you are moving the solenoid shouldn't be the problem. You should be able to measure those wires with Ohms, and I believe it should go up to 5k at max throttle...

Re: speed switch on 1994 Club Car
Cool, a 94 controller cart! The 36 volt controller carts were made in 93 and 94 only, I always seem to see more 93s though, good to see a 94.
Like Jake said, make sure the V-Glide wiper arm goes all the way to the top contact (touching both the top two, I have found, is OK too, so long as the contact is mostly on the top one). |
