Torque upgrade for 36v ’07 txt series
Hey guys,
I need some assistance. I recently purchased a 2007 36v txt series cart. I drive on the street most of the time, but there is a rather steep hill I am unable to get over with my current setup. All batteries are new and the cart is in excellent condition. The guy at the local shop says the only way to get more torque is to buy a new engine, controller, cables, etc. which he estimated would cost $1,200+-. Is this truly my only option? Thanks in advance for your insight. |

Out of curiosity can you use the chart below to tell us how steep your hill is?

It starts off gradual but is probably around 45 degrees at its steepest section (tough to estimate).

Re: Torque upgrade for 36v ’07 txt series
This is a tough problem. The hill is designed to kill electric carts
Converting to 48v will help - alot. If you modify the cart with high torque motor and hi amp delivery system it will slow it down which you may not like. Speed and torque are in constant trade off with the electric motors. Generally, allowing the stock motor to access more amperage will improve it's ability to climb the hill. Do this with a bigger controller, solenoid, cables, & upgraded F&R switch |

Yessir. Definitely been better times to be a heels fan, though. I went to Elon and live in Virginia now.
