E-Z-Go, Club Car, or Other?
Hello everyone, I am Dereck and new to the Forum. Some of you may have seen this thread that I started, but I have some generic questions that should be up your alley.
Briefly I am going to buy a used factory stock golf cart for golf. I live in a gated area and the course is about 1-1/2 miles away so I will need to drive on the streets to get there. I do not need a street legal cart as the roads are private and the POA allows carts on the streets. I prefer an electric cart over gas. However I want one that can go at least around 20 mph. and if my research is correct only E-Z-GO (RXV line), and Club Car Precedent are the only two capable of achieving this speed. Is this correct or is there another manufacture I am not aware of. My other concern with an electric is since I live 1-1/2 miles from the course can an electric make the round trip and play a round on a charge? On a related note when I was out in Phoenix (Sun City) earlier this year visiting my relatives I played quite a bit of golf. As we would drive around in a car in the neighborhoods going to/from the courses, little ole ladies and ole men would zoom past us in their golf carts going at least 35 or 40. Can folks in Sun City get golf carts we cannot? |

Can't believe I missed this one too Well, as you probably learned by now any one of the major three cart brands are capable of speeds of 30mph, even on 4ga. wire It is just a matter of fitting them with the correct matched components.....And watch out for little old ladies in their souped up golf carts

There is almost always a dry breeze in the desert whioch fill the air with negative ions and as long as you have a fully charged battery pack you can take advantage of these free ions to help boost your speed
