Default 99 ezgo series cart no reverse

I have a 99 ezgo 36v series cart. I put a new f/r switch on 6 mths ago. We haven't ridden it maybe 10 ten since then. When I went to load it up Friday it wouldn't do anything in reverse. Forward works just fine. I did find a wire off the switch and put it back on and also tightened the center pivot shaft nut but nothing has helped so far.

Check all the high current cables between the fnr switch and the motor. Almost have to be that or the fnr switch.

Probably the FNR throw. I am guessing it needs a slight adjustment. One of the micrswitches isn't fully into the recess when R is selected. I'll bet you're wondering if I just had that happen to me on a FNR swap aren't you?

The F&R reverse position is activating the ms correctly ... this leaves the F&R high amp contacts or controller as main suspects.

CHECKING CONTROLLER OUTPUT Connect (-) probe to controller M- and (+) lead to controller B-
With the key on and the cart in reverse gear, press the pedal just far enough to hear the solenoid engage. You should read pack voltage between and M- and B-. If yes the contact in the F&R is good.

Now continue to press the pedal down and watch the meter. The reading should gradually decrease to near 0 volts. If the input test was good and the ITS readings are correct and this test does not perform as described above then the controller has failed.

Just ran the check scottyb suggested. All seemed to work correctly voltage went to.04 when the pedal was pressed all the way down.

So if the control is putting out but motor not turning ....
Disconnect the F&R shift linkage at the F&R and with a 9/16 wrench on the center shaft (front side) make certain the F&R is moving ALL THE WAY into reverse and try to go. Shift forward to reverse a couple of times and feel the cam hit the stop. This is the full throw needed for proper engagement.
No Movement with wrench shifting?
Remove the switch cam from the F&R. One 6/16th nut on the backside lets the shaft and the cam slide out the front.
I suspect the contacts are burnt.
