Re: Shorting out speed controllers
Then i would be looking at the throttle system, is yours a marathon? If so, its a 0-5k ohm throttle type.

Re: Shorting out speed controllers
Like CG said, look at the throttle input to the controller.
You have a Medalist, so the throttle is an ITS rather than a 0-5k Pot-Box. Here is a link to download the service manual for your cart: http://www.ordertree.com/docs/1047/E...28124G01RS.pdf How to check the ITS (Inductive Throttle System) starts on page G-5 |

Unfortunately, that website no longer has bootleg service manuals available on-line. Fortunately, I have a service manual for a 1999 Medalist, which is only 17.1 MB and EZGO didn't change the series drive system between '94 and '99, so it applies to your cart. |

Re: Shorting out speed controllers
Actually 1994.5 was the change year, you gotta love Ezgo on this one. Early 1994 were Marathon types with the control in the center of the battery pack and late 94s were TXT types with the control on the side of the battery pack.
Early = 0-5k Late = ITS |
