Default HD springs almost done ready for phase 2... wheels

Almost done with my budget HD rear spring project on my electric 92 Marathon and reading what seems like 1000 posts on springs and wheel tire combos. Once the springs are complete I'll be ready for what i'm calling phase 2 which will be adding the 4inch "economy" lift and adding larger tires so here's the question hoping to not stir up too much hubub...... do i go with 22 by X by 10" or 12" wheel / tires or 22 by X by (original) 8's and what if any offset do i need to aim for? About 1/3 of my time is on the road the rest is around the yard and in the trails/ minor to moderate hill. All electronics except batteries are original until i win the lotto so not sure which wheel / tires are best to not over stress things and slow me down too bad. ie do I save weight with the larger aluminum rims or not really enough to make a difference? Also is anyone running upgraded breaks? I think you have to have at least 10" to be able to put them on. Thanks

Default Re: HD springs almost done ready for phase 2... wheels

I'm curious myself. I saw threads last summer when searching but can't seem to find them now. I wanted to go 14" rim and 23" tires with my 5" block lift (88 ezgo marathon gas). I'm not sure that's the right choice now. Maybe 12" with 22" tires. If I remember right, I think the offset was 3"/4" on a 7" wide rim. Did you figure it out yet?
