Help what model EZGO do I have
I bought a lifted EZGO camo cart. I know it's a 36volt and regen because it has (run - maint) switch on the controller cover. Also must be DCS because it has a big (forward - reverse) lever. Thats all I know.
Only tags I see say: EZ-GO 1.49 kv - golf car - 360.6 kg Model ? M199 I was told the motor was replaced last year, tag says, Advanced DC Motors |

Re: Help what model EZGO do I have
You are right about it being a DCS.
The M199 indicates the model year is 1999. If it has a metal body, it is a Medalist. If it has a plastic body, it is a TXT. The body has been messed with (camo), so it could be a Medalist with a TXT body, but the innards are the same for both body styles. |

Yep, It's a little faded but where the key switch is, it says TXT and I think it s says medalist. Well I know it's a 1999 now, but I wonder if the motor is stock or replaced like I was told?

Picture of motor label would be nice. Also, what controller is installed and what is the tire height? Tires taller than 18" and a stock controller is a failure waiting for a place to happen. |

Re: Help what model EZGO do I have
Can't find any info on an AX4-4001, but the AMD xxx-4001 motors tend to be high torque motors.
The 22" tires reducers the torque by 18% were the rubber meets the road, but the motor has more than stock torque. I suspect the controller isn't a stock DCS controller since they don't like tall tires. Is the controller totally enclosed, or is just the top part covered? If there is an Alltrax DCX400 under the controller cover, you found yourself a jewel. |

All I can see is the back fins/heat sink sticking out of the back of the
triangular shape case. The case covers everything and appears a factory fit cover. |

Two bolts at top and two at bottom, a little inboard from the outer edge. Be sure to flip Run/Tow switch to Tow before doing any electrical stuff on cart. |
