Marathon Cart Hill Issue
"I have an E-Z-Go Marathon golf cart w/ new batteries installed and a new pot switch. I can get the golf cart to run on level ground, but I cannot climb any slight incline from a dead stop. Would this be a potential motor or controller issue?"

Re: Marathon Cart Hill Issue
When i put 48v to my stock 36v marathon controller, i eventually had the exact same problem. I knew then, that was a stupid idea. I just wanted to try it anyway (i had a new 48v controller waiting). It never actually "died", it just wouldnt even go over a 1" curb anymore. Funny thing was, it still had the same 48v top speed, but no torque (took 2 blocks to get to top speed). I did nothing to convert it to 48v except put in 6x 8v batts instead of 6x 6v batteries. I knew it would be a "controller killer", i just wanted to see how it would work (and it did, for a couple of months). Sounds like you also need a controller. I suggest a SPM alltrax. I realize you may have not done what i did (put 48v into a 36v system just to "see what would happen"). Sounds like a controller is in your future.
