EZ Go Electric
OK E-Z GO guru’s educate me and set me on the right path to E-Z Go line up. I want to buy a used cart, and I live in a gated POA with a golf course with about a 1-1/2 mile drive to the course on the streets. So I want a cart that can go 20 to 25 MPH.
I have done some research and see there is an after market motor GE D390 (aka Raptor) with 36 and 48 volt ratings. Problem is I do not find any E-Z Go carts with a 48 volt series wound motor. I do find the new RXV series uses 48 volt, but the motor is an AC induction type and I do not want to buy a like new cart and strip out the guts and replace with older tech. So am I missing something? Is the only way to get a 48 volt EZ Go is buy the older TXT 36 volt and convert to 48 by using the bag well? Or is there a model/year I have not run across yet. Comments welcome and appreciated. |

Why would you even think of stripping down a brand new AC drive EZGO RXV? People spend BIG bucks to convert to AC power...
First question is this - What $$$ are you looking to spend? |

There is not a STOCK 48 volt TXT or PDS. Never built. Have you ever been on the RXV? They are smokin' fast...
