Default EZ Go Electric Models

OK E-Z GO guru’s educate me and set me on the right path to E-Z Go line up. I want to buy a used cart, and I live in a gated POA with a golf course with about a 1-1/2 mile drive to the course on the streets. So I want a cart that can go 20 to 25 MPH.

I have done some research and see there is an after market motor GE D390 (aka Raptor) with 36 and 48 volt ratings. Problem is I do not find any E-Z Go carts with a 48 volt series wound motor.

I do find the new RXV series uses 48 volt, but the motor is an AC induction type and I do not want to buy a like new cart and strip out the guts and replace with older tech.

So am I missing something? Is the only way to get a 48 volt EZ Go is buy the older TXT 36 volt and convert to 48 by using the bag well? Or is there a model/year I have not run across yet.

Comments welcome and appreciated.

Sorry did not know exactly where to post it. Noticed you are in the DFW area. I am just north of there at Lake Kiowa and work in Richardson

So what exactly are you wanting? Knowing a budget, either for the cart and or all the parts you need is a must for anyone here to assist!

Good luck! You'll have much more than that in it by the time you're done. A $2,000.00 will need quite a bit more than $1000.00 in parts. Upgraing to 48 volts will also require a new charger, new batteries, controller motor, F/R switch, soleniods and ???. Better do you research in this one...

Mike that is why I am asking. I know EZ-Go TXT was never maid in a 48 volt version. My question is did EZ-Go ever make a 48 series wound motor driven cart? I hear a model called Freedom which I know nothing about. Maybe I am talking about a fleet line. Don't know that is why I am asking. What are the various models EZ-Go has made?

Ezgo does have some 48v utility carts but the freedom is not one of them.
