No go

My 1995 ezgo is not ez going..it is a battery operated cart and it is a medalist.
when I push down the go pedal all I hear is the solenoid clicking.it clicks in Forward and reverse.i have been charging the batterys with a Lester 36 volt charger for 3 hours now and the meter on the charger is still in the green on the meter.so what could be wrong?

I have the same cart. Use a multimeter to see if the solenoid is sending the proper voltage to the controller when the gas is pressed it should be just under the pack voltage going into solenoid.
