Default 48 volt TXT charge receptacle failure??

anyone had a charge receptacle failure on a 49 volt TXT which causes the cart not to move and if so was it the charger that burned it out? Thanks in advance

Sounds like the reed switch?

Reed switch = magnetic switch in the receptacle which feeds the carts solenoid activation circuit. When it goes out the cart won't budge. Common problem. lots of people simply bypass the unit as shown below.

48v txt with triangle shape plug has no reed switch. And, yes if a triangle shape receptacle fails, it will result in a no-run condition. You could just apply 48v to the small orange wire (i think its orange) at the receptacle to bypass the charger interlock. The no-run is caused by the controller always thinking that the charger is plugged in.

It has to have some type of (magnetic) safety interlock switch then

Question Re: 48 volt TXT charge receptacle failure??

Take apart the triangle handle, its not as simple as the old txt, there is no magnet. The new plug receptacle has a circuit board encapsulated inside. The third radsock is a communication bus to the charger for the temp sensor on the battery terminal. We dissolved all the molded rubber off a bad one to see what's inside, and discovered this circuit board.

Thanks for the picture. May I say - that is close to ridiculous for a charge receptacle to be that complex.

Do you have a picture of the flip side of the board?

Also, you would happen to know if the Delta-Q charger alters the charge profile based on battery temperature, of does it just shut off if the battery temperature get too high?

I believe it alters the profile based on temp, not sure if it will totally refuse to charge based on temps alone.
