Default Need a new 48v solenoid

Looking to get a new solenoid - I upgraded from 36 to 48 and never switched it out - my cables running to current are melting and smoke after long rides.

Someone please point me in the right direction and let me know which will work best for me?

Also want/need to know what the best cable/wire to use when I install.

thanks!

You will no doubt need to replace those "melted and smoked out" cables as well. Since your at 48-V, I would do what I'm doing and go with 2-Ga. welding cable. Soldered on ends would be the best, but if you can't or wind do that, crimped on is your next best bet. But 2-ga. is for sure the way to go.

The Super-Duty solenoid (400A continuous/1000A peak) and 2Ga silver soldered cables from carts unlimited are what I use.

Get the super duty one mentioned by JohnnieB. No one will have a bigger solenoid than you.

Scroll down to the bottom of the page. There you will find the solenoids.
