Default PDS Regen Braking

I am still tossing a few things around trying to figure out what exactly to do. Either buy a Series Fleet TXT, convert to 48 volts,, change controller and motor.

After reading another thread, someone mentioned they bought a 2006 PDS, and only changed the controller and got 24 mph. I thought changing the controller only would get you torque and very little extra speed.

Is that typical?

Also the OP said he lost the Regen braking. Is that also normal?

IMO I wouldn't want to loose Regen braking if I had a PDS.

The other person used an Alltrax. The Alltrax he used is programable. You can program that particular controller however you want. Want more regen, lose more speed. Want less regen, lose less speed. There is no perfect combination, you have to figure out what works best with your combination of parts.

Good luck, later.

I have put 2 dcx400's into two pds carts and both gps at 24-25 mph.
We also climb dirt hills in the forest and have no problems.

Dereck- use these jpegs to determine how the Alltrax is programmed. The "chip" is nothing more than a jumper plug.....

I take it that is using the Stock motor in the cart? From what I can tell that is the same ratings with the stock controller?

Hi, I'm The Person With The 2006 PDS 36V Stock Cart,That Added The Alltrax DCX PDS Controller. Here Is A Suggestion:Why Don't You BUY The Newest EZGO PDS Cart You Can.Put In A Red Freedom Chip & Start From There.......If You Buy A Series Cart & Try To Change To 48Volt & Then Change Motors You OBVIOUSLY Will Be Getting In Over Your Head.I Scored A Near Flawless 06 W/Windshield,08 Trojans,Cooler,Sand Box & Bag Canopy & A Warranty For $2,200.
