more speed for fleet cart ???
I have a buddy who asked me if there was anyway to get more speed for his lifted 2001 or 2002 fleet car and I'm guessing he would prefer a cheaper option. I have no clue because mine is a PDS and I've only researched them.
What is his options ? Thanks in advance, K |

Re: more speed for fleet cart ???
Higher RPM motor ($$$)
High speed gear set ($$$) Higher voltage to existing motor ($$$) I would start with more voltage and go from there. |

Re: more speed for fleet cart ???
Advanced DC - 2.75 non peak. It's what Ez Go calls their "speed" motor.
Stock is 2.0hp non peak. |

Re: more speed for fleet cart ???
Model 73124G03 - Advanced DC High Speed Series...
Use this replacement electric motor for Non DCS/PDS E-Z-GO 36 Volt electric vehicles from 1989-Up. This series wound electric DC motor is made by Advancd DC for E-Z-GO and is their "high speed" fleet motor. This motor is rated at 2.75 Non-Peak HP @ 2800 Rpms and with the stock 275A/36V controller and standard 18" tall tires, you should get about 18 mph top end flat ground speed. For use with golf cars (marathon, Medalist, and TXT), Freedoms, 2 + 2, and ME2. Motor has a female 19 spline coupler and is for use with the Dana differential (used since 1989 in E-Z-GO electric vehicles). This motor is a series wound motor, only for use with a series or fleet system. DO NOT use this motor on a golf cart with resistro style speed control. For use only with electronic speed controlled systems. It should function with your existing 275A-36V controller. If the cart is lifted with larger tires, or will be used in a hilly location or pulling application, you might want to consider using a Higher Amperage Controller to improve your torque as well without sacrificing speed. Depending on your application, you may also need to upgrade to Heavier Gauge Battery and Power Cables as well as a Heavy Duty F-N-R Switch. |
