Default Returning my TXT to stock before selling

I posted this on another forum so some may see it twice. I am caught up on what to do here. I am not so sure I want to sell a turn key modified cart. I am thinking ambulance chasers but maybe I am thinking too much.

Here is my cut-n-paste scenerio:

My has wife long been complaining that the kids were going to get hurt on our cart so we are selling the 2001 EZGO TXT and they "made" me buy a Club Car Precedent . OK, don't be mean! the dark side isn't so bad.

The modifications and batteries have 34.3 hours total time and the cart has not been mistreated at all.

The only parts I am wanting to do this with is:

6x 8 Volts 2007 batteries
Alltrax 4865 650 amp controller
48 Volt Solenoid
HD F&R with heavy buss bars
48V GE 398 (Raptor I think it is called)
Cable swap for my 2 and 4 ga. wiring
48 Volt EZGO Charger

This set up on my non lifted cart, Standard top with flip windshield attached, using 10" wheels with the Goodyear Double Eagle tires (17" I think), the cart with two adults will consistantly GPS at 28.3 on a flat asphalt street. Up a moderate incline, 25 - 26 mph.

The cart has not yet been disassembled as I am still in limbo on what to do plus it is "test drive" ready as it is.

So I ask you guys, what would BGWM do? (Buggies Gone Wild Members)

In my experience - modded carts sell faster and for more money. Why would you worry any more about selling a golf cart than you would a car?

If you want to start parting it out though... I'm listening.

While modded cart may sell for a little more money you aren't going to get what you have in those parts back out, not even close. If you have the parts I would put it back close to stock, maybe leave the cosmetics things on it.(ie: wheels and such) and sell the hp parts separate or keep them for another project. I believe you can sell a stock cart alot quicker that you can one that's a few thousand more and has things on it nobody knows or cares about. Then if they want to fix it up sell them the parts, theres a lot of folks wanting to go 48v.
while there may be some liability issues there (I really doubt it) there is usually not enough money involved with private individuals for lawyers to go after it.

I'll post a picture of the cart when I get home today but I plan on leaving everything on it except for the 48volt stuff. The body is painted, the sets are uphostered, stereo, wheels etc. I am concerned that someone will get hurt on the cart and want to be silly with a lawsuit. Kim has put her foot down on getting the parts off. I know you don't recoup a fraction of what you put in them but maybe I can get some spare change out of a swap or selling them straight out. Personaly, I had rather keep the cart and turn the amps down on the controller but she is serious about the kids on this thing as they are 10 and 15 and love to cruise the neighborhood (gated private roads) with their friends. Funny thing, my oldest told me "Dad, you are buying what I was outrunning when Mom caught me" LOL ! he said " I left him so bad I wanted to apologize to him for the embarassment it caused in front of his buddies". See, they have this block rivalry going on wheither it is skate boards, bikes, carts, basketball, you name it.

I am not so sure of the forum rules but that aside, out of respect for the retail sponsors of this forum, I'd rather not discuss that in open forum unless it is allowed here. If interested, shoot me an email at craigs1001@aol.

Is your 05 a series TXT or a PDS ? Mine is a series cart.
