Serial # Location

I purchased an EZ GO electric cart about a year ago.

I was told it was a 2004 TXT Freedom PSD cart,

Rooting about in the "Buggies Gone Wild" forum I'm informed by every site purporting to identify where to find the serial # that for '96 - present, the serial # is in the glove box.

Well the only serial # to be found is under the charging plug at the left front seat panel.

To top it off, one site insists that to identify the year, you must have the "manufacturers number".

Does anyone have any truth to pass along about the alternate ser# location or whether this number reflects the date?

The # under the charge port will give the year. What is that #?

In addition to the Serial# on the tag under the charger port, there might be a label on the upper frame behind the back row of batteries. You have to lift the seat and motor cover flap to see it.

If you plug the Serial# off the tag under the charger port into the linked EZGO website, it'll tell you the year and body type as it left the factory.

I have a serial number stamped on the frame under the access panel under the back rest support if that helps. This is on a 2000 txt
