question for ScottyB or others that know
so I got the disc brakes in the other day and have read the instructions. Seems fairly simple, but I am going to have a friend help since he is more mechanically inclined than I am, and has installed brakes on several cars before.
My question before we start. I have seen mention of mounting brakes on lifted carts reversed or on the opposite sides to lift the brake cables up. Is this recommended with these brakes? It didn't mention doing any such thing in the instructions, I was just wondering if it can be done http://www.cartsunlimited.net/Hi_Per...ce_Brakes.html Thanks |

Re: question for ScottyB or others that know
You cannot (easily) mount the rear disc brake calipers on opposite sides to gain ground clearance if your cart is lifted. That "trick" only works on non-lifted carts.

What he said. On a lifted cart the brackets usually get in the way

Re: question for ScottyB or others that know
Thanks for the replies. I'll just follow the instructions as they are printed and not try anything crazy...
