2008 ezgo will run but wheels will not turn
2008 ezgo will run but the wheels will not turn. Was driving up a slick hill and cart spun out and started backwards I try to continue up but it grab and then the wheels stop turning and I rolled back. What is wrong with it? I have been told it could be the hub is sheared. If so do I need to get a new hub. If so what wheel does the hub need to be changed? What size hub and is there a diff in what wheel it goes to.

Certainly sounds like a classic hub issue .. That is the weak link in the EZGO armour
 Fixing issue is not a huge deal .. Could be that the nut needs tightened |

Mine stripped a hub. Start the engine and look down to see if the axle nut is moving around by its self if it is you found the problem.

sounds like a stripped hub to me as well. This might just be the easiest thing to fix on a golf cart BECAUSE I DID IT BY MYSELF ONCE...

Probably a hub but is it a TXT or an RXV, different wheel hubs..

The stock ezgo hub is a low grade casting designed to hold up under the strain of driving 300 yds down the golf course fairway. To get another stock hub is foolish. for about the same $ you can get heavy duty hubs by Ausco. Search the web for the lowest price on Ausco #2127..... I know where you will end up.

Early RXV carts had issues stripping hubs. As all the braking and acceleration is done through the hub. Have replaced many of those..
