Newbie, batter troubles
Hi, i have ez go with t875 batteries that are less then 2 years old, it seems that now i can only play 18 holes of golf and then the batteries are very low , not sure what i am doing wrong. i use the cart at 3 different times a years for about 3 weeks at i time the rest of the year it sits in my garage in Tucson, i read about using a desulfator on it to make the batteries last longer on a charge, any help would be great , thanks herb

Re: Newbie, batter troubles
Water levels OK?
We need digital voltage readings on each battery, and the entire pack as measured at the cart charge receptacle.
Also year of cart, and which drive system do you have?

Re: Newbie, batter troubles
do you keep batteries charged during the periods that you are not using the cart, leaving the batteries discharged is not a good on them

Re: Newbie, batter troubles
Why would you have an EZGO with 8 volt T-875 batteries? Has it been converted to 48 volt? Do you have a 48 volt charger?

Welcome to the forum herbf1....................

Yup........ Better check those batteries again. If you got 8 volt batteries, they are down after charging them with a 6volt charger.

Re: Newbie, batter troubles
You should get 3 rounds of golf on a full charge.

Re: Newbie, batter troubles
If you left the cart for 3 months at a time without being on a float charger, they self discharged and set discharged too long. It is possible you damaged them letting them set too long.

Does your charger have an EQUALIZE setting?

Re: Newbie, batter troubles
Those are not bad numbers but, your drive time is short. You can load test or check specific gravity with an inexpensive hydrometer. One bad cell can pull the whole pack down...You need some type of equalizer or maintainer on batteries left to sit unattended for 3 months.
