Default 2005 EZGO - rear seat question

Do you need to have the roof and struts on the cart in order to have a back seat? Or can you have a back seat with out a top?

Thanks

No. You can have a rear seat without a roof or struts.

The rear roof struts do bolt to the seat mounting bracket, but they are not a structural part of it.

I think that is the source of one of my biggest rattles. The rear roof supports fit inside the front and rear backrest posts. They are bolted together to keep the roof supports from pulling straight out, but the roof supports are about 1/4 inch smaller than the the back rest supports. So they wiggle side to side and front to back.

Not sure if all rear seats kits are like this. I have been trying to find something to fit in that small space to stop the rattle.

You just need to tighten it more. Tighten it until the outer tubing pulls down tight to the inner tubing.

So the standard hardware the comes with the rear seat is all you need to install the rear seat. There is no need to keep the roof struts on?

Thanks for the help!
