Default After sitting January and february and this month cart wont go in reverse

Batteries have a good charge and when I first got in it today-

No forward or reverse.

I raised the seat and three terminals had a good amount of white corrosion.

I cleaned all terminals and now I have a weak forward and still no reverse

Any thoughts on where to begin?
thanks

its a 2005 ezgo/bad boy buggy 48 volt

You still have either a bad battery or a bad connection. Remove and clean all connections and measure all of your batteries. The fact that cleaning a connection made a difference says that you have more that need cleaning.

Csport, the BBB's are their own "animals." If you can get a wiring diagram of what you have, that would go along way in at least knowing if what you have is wired correctly. But before you disconnect to many wires, be sure to take a lot of photo's of what you have from a lot of different angles. That will at least give you some reference if you "get lost" when putting it back together.

1--Now, the BBB's are marketed as 4-wheel drive, or 2-wheel drive. I don't know which model you have.

2--On your picture, those connections look pretty crusty. Disconnect your battery power and take each connection apart and with a wire brush, clean up each connection one at a time and put them back together one at a time before you move on to the next one.

3--The "solenoid" that you show could be a "Reversing Contactor" or part of your Forward\Reverse switch. How do you put your cart in forward and reverse? Is it the flick of a switch? Or do you have a manual lever? If this is a reversing contactor (as I suspect it is) then the crud build up is likely the problem with why your cart won't properly run. Clean up the connections and then let us know. But...don't forget to disconnect your power first as you don't want to find out just how much juice is in those batteries when they are wired in a series like that.

Well.....all "Bozo" accounting aside (you know....none of us have EVER done anything like that!! My excuse is always that I've just purchased a bad battery. Never admit to your own mistakes!!) I'm going to SWAG it here....and I think it's a pretty good SWAG that your BBB has reversing contactors that switch your cart from going from F to R. These reversing contactors are nothing more than solenoids that allow the current to flow from the controller to the motor via these solenoids. When you flick the F\R switch these contactors change the current to the motor (hence as you can see on the one wire the S-1 designation) and make the motor go from F to R.

So, clean up all of these wires first. Disconnect the batteries first. You may also want to clean up the motor wire contacts as well. Remember that when you clean up the motor wires be sure that you don't turn the motor bolt(s) down into the motor. This could cause a catastrophic failure of your motor. That's not a good thing.
