Default Help Neded From The Electral Gods

I have installed the alltrax 500 atx and the new batteries (48v) upgrade along with 48v contactor now the problem seems to be with the wiring on the F&R switch. I have checked wiring diagram and all seems to be correct.
with the switch in reverse all works ok I get contactor click and the green light on the controler comes on. with the switch in foward I get contactor click and NO green light on the controler. I can switch the orange and blue wires and it works just the opposite. I can put a jumper and connect the orange and blue wire and the controler gets a green light both ways also the cart does not seem to have much power(speed) I have attached a cpl of picks if they help.

Thanks in advance.

From what I can tell from the picture...you have your positive power coming from the contactor to the half speed reverse terminal on the controller. Thats just what it looks like in the picture...its hard to tell. If its hooked up that way I think it will run half speed. and you wont get power in one direction depending on which way the F/R is switched.

Check your wiring.

Terminal 1 is power to controller.

Terminal 2 and 3 are throttle. (black and white wires)

Terminal 4 is half speed. If half speed terminal is energized at all it will run half speed. You don't have to use it seeing as half speed reverse isn't a stock option.

Get out that schematic and go over it again.

If you would like to simplify the install let me know. Theres a few basic series diagrams for an Alltrax on the forum that will work.

They all will do away with the F/R micros, backup buzzer etc. The F/R micros can get a bit confusing during a re-wire.

I have to agree it looks as if you have the power on the controller wrong. If looking at the spade connection on the controller #1 is power it needs all 36 volts, #2,3, are the throttle in puts. #4 is for 1/2 speed reverse.
That is a nice H/D cart by the way.
Try this out.
