Two speed motor. Good or bad?
I have only seen a few posts on 2 speed motors. Is this route any better that high torque motors vs. speed motor, or is it a compromise between the two? Any benefits or downfalls? Thanks.

Re: Two speed motor. Good or bad?
EMP 2 speed setup is nice compared to stock...and well worth the money. A non-lifted cart will reach approx. 21mph in speed mode and run about 17 in torque mode, the torque mode is nominal over stock. (In my experience on 2 carts, both CCDS48v). If you wanted substantial gains in speed or torque I would suggest a more costly alternative. Hs or torque motor, 500min. amp controller, cables, etc. There is plenty of good info. here, just decide what you really want to do with your cart. I can only tell you what I have done, there are several experts here, whom can advise of all your options. Good luck.
