95 Medalist - new project
I picked this up last week and just started getting into it to figure what all I have here.
I was going to post pictures as I typed but something is wrong with the system and I keep getting an error message.... Anyway, here's what I know for sure: 1. It has the TXT body cowls 2. It has some sort of lift kit and HD rear leaf springs 3. It has headlights and tail lights that work. It also has the complete wiring harness for turn signals and the headlight assembly has turn signals in it. Signals have not been hooked up but all the wiring for them is already run. 4. Batteries are used refurbished but in good shape and the cart runs great. Faster than I expected. 5. It has the rear seat support frame and tow bumper(not on cart) Things I'm not sure about: 1. Lift kit: pretty sure it's a 4" drop axle lift but I'm not 100% sure. It definitely has a forward rake so I'm wondering if maybe coil overs in the front would level it out... 2. I think the FNR, solenoid and controller are all OEM parts but again, seeking confirmation. 3. The headlight mounting brackets doesn't seem to be installed incorrectly. I think whoever installed installed it only installed the two top bolts to the frame but didn't install the two bottom bolts and they weren't even aligned with the two bottom holes. However the attachment bolts from the headlight assembly to the mounting brackets all aligned, so that's got me scratching my head. Pictures forthcoming. Plans for the cart: Upgrade to 48 volt, install rear seat, LED light bar, new wheels and tires and Bluetooth speakers. All feedback welcome. And I will get all of the photos posted as soon as it will let me. |

Looks like a great little cart. Nice drop axle lift too. You should reduce your pics a little before uploading so they fit on the page.

Thanks. I'm using tapatalk on my iPhone and everything fits the screen. I have no idea how it looks on a computer though.... I think you're the man I need to talk to about upgrading to 48V system. Can you tell me which package on your site would best suit my needs? Plan on using 23" tires, rear seat and golf bag holder. Uses will consist of golf course and cruising the streets in the neighborhood. No intentional off roading or mudding. Nothing crazy. |

Re: 95 Medalist - new project
When I send images from my phone I select the large format instead of actual size. Today's phones are all shooting 10 mega pixel photos. More data = bigger pics. My cannon camera is rotting away in the drawer.
Most everybody is using pkg #485 (500a control & 400a solenoid) for hunting and off road. Campground and neighborhood users can go with pkg #484 (400a controller & 200a solenoid) on sale for $419. Use 2g cables for the 500a controller and 4g cables for the 400a control. And HD F&R or better yet HD reversing contactor for both. 48v is going to give you additional torque and speed - I would not be shy about using the 400a control with it's max 460 amp threshold on 48v Go here for more info > Scottyb's Controller Packages |

Appreciate the heads up Sir Nuke. When I go play public courses I will just use their carts. My home course is private and property owners are allowed to use whatever cart they own. No restrictions. Pretty much everybody on the course has tricked out, jacked up buggies! Just another reason why I love Texas! |

Although I will probably go with turf tires anyway. I don't anticipate needing knobby tires.

as I love in a gated community with a course all through it as well. in the big scheme of things, we aren't that far apart. I'm just down 288 a little ways.....ya go down to Angleton, get off onto 35.....take a right, go 8 miles and you can see the billboard to the subdivision (Columbia Lakes) right after you cross the Brazos River. |
