Default EZGO electric project cart.....new member

First I am a new member here and looked around and this site will be very helpful in the coming months with my project. I picked up a 1990 electric EZGO that caught fire and has the resistor set up. I just started tearing it down today.

I found Scotts site with the solid state conversion kits and I believe that is the route I will take. I do live about 10 mins away from Plum Quick and have a friend who works there so that will be helpful as well. here are a few pics of the cart before I started and as it sits tonight. A lot of work ahead but in the end it will be worth it. Any info is appreciated!

I will post pictures when I am finished with the 7 day wait period.

CONGRATS on the ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to BGW. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wive's, husbands, girlfirends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

So here is the cart as it sat when I picked it up. The gentlemen I bought it from let it catch fire so I picked it up for 150 bucks.

Starting the tear down....

Rust from the fire as they let it sit...

Got the back end grinded and cleaned and primed so it wouldnt rust again.

Still got a long way to go but slow and steady is my progress...

Yeah I didnt think so. I will spend around 1k to replace and upgrade the electronics from Scotty B at some point but I need to get it ready and have a long way to go for before I spend that coin.
