RXV controller upgrade from ezgo.com

Does anyone have experience with this? It says 350 amps which is about 50% more than the stock controller. Will it make that much difference in torque? I assume speed will not be affected since its computer controlled.

Based on how the new AC yamaha feels, it will be big. I think ezgo did this because they didnt want to be "left behind" with the new competition from the new much more powerful Yamaha system. AC motor systems are where things are going for the OEMs. I welcome this upgrade pacage from ezgo (plug &play supposedly), i have one i have not yet installed (very busy). It is very costly tho. I dont think ezgo likes the new competition in their field of AC dominance. The new AC Yamahas are more than a challenge to ezgo in the power arena.

My opinion:

It'll be years before we see wholesale AC yamaha golf carts off the golf course. New price is out of range for most of us.

The upgraded RXV controller for $1400? Nah, I can do a complete AC conversion on any DC cart for slightly more with an upgraded motor also.
